What to Expect in a Reiki Healing Session
Zoom only

Thank you for contacting me about receiving a distance Reiki healing. Before we meet, I want to share the information below, which explains how I work and what you can expect from the session.

Reiki is an ancient energy healing system that channels universal life force energy to promote healing and well-being. It is a comforting and peaceful healing modality; unlike massage, it doesn’t require manipulation of the body. In an in-person session, Reiki can be administered with a gentle touch or hands-off. It has intelligence, knows what part of your body or mind needs healing, and it will direct the energy there. It benefits people of all ages, at all stages of life, and for all health and emotional conditions. It is an excellent complement to traditional healthcare and also a beneficial standalone healing method. Although it is not a replacement for conventional medical care, Reiki can be used for many things, including aches and pains, anxiety and stress, pre-op and post-surgery recovery, or just providing a gentle tune-up.

Have you had a Reiki session before? Every Reiki practitioner works differently, and every session is unique, so please try not to bring any prior experiences into our session or have any preconceived ideas of what a session should be. Instead, come to the session with an open mind and heart and allow your experience to unfold during the session as it needs to. People may feel or see different things during a session. Some may see colors, bursts of energy, waves of relaxation, perhaps feel that hands are touching them, or maybe nothing at all. All experiences are entirely normal, and I would suggest going into the session with no expectations other than to be relaxed and to receive healing.

Distance Reiki healing held over Zoom is no less powerful than an in-person session. You can still enjoy the benefits of this comforting and peaceful healing modality as time and distance do not affect the connection and the healing.

You may lie down or sit in a comfortable chair for the session in a quiet and distraction-free place. Wear clothes that are comfortable for you. We will meet on camera, but when I start the healing session, you do not have to be on camera, but you must be able to hear me. I will not play any music as I do not want any distractions for you, but you are free to use whichever sounds you like if any. At the end of the session, I will ring a quiet bell to indicate the session has ended. It is okay if you have fallen asleep or need to continue lying down. If you are alert and wish to talk about your experience, that is fine too.  * You may pay me after the session when you feel rested.

I look forward to meeting you for our session together.
